ABOUT THE 2020 CalGovHR CONFERENCE & EXPO™ (MARCH 11 - 13, 2020)

ABOUT THE OPTIONAL CALIFORNIA-COMPLIANT HARASSMENT PREVENTION & BYSTANDER INTERVENTION TRAINING "TRAIN-THE-TRAINER" WORKSHOP

Under California Senate Bill 778, which was signed into law on August 30, 2019 and took effect immediately, all California employer with five or more employees must provide at least two hours of classroom or other effective interactive training and education regarding sexual harassment to all supervisory employees, and at least one hour of classroom or other effective interactive training and education regarding sexual harassment to all nonsupervisory employees in California. Under SB 778, employers must now provide the above-described training and education by January 1, 2021, and thereafter once every 2 years.

CalGovHR has developed the legally-compliant Harassment Prevention and Bystander Training, which is suitable for all employees, including managers, supervisors, and non-supervisory personnel, as well as a “Train-the-Trainer” training for human resources professionals. For Conference attendees, a limited number of discounted rooms at the conference group rate are available for as low as $149/night + tax (on a first-come, first-served basis; valid for stays between March 10 through 15, 2020).

HR CERTIFICATIONS AND ATTORNEY MCLE CREDITS

CalGovHR is a HRCI and SHRM Recertification Provider, and this Conference is eligible for recertification credits toward HRCI- and SHRM-recertification.

For attorneys seeking MCLE credits, the Association for California Governmental Human Resources Professionals (CalGovHR) is an approved State Bar of California MCLE provider #18682 and will provide attorney MCLE credits for eligible sessions at the 2020 Conference. Proof of attendance will be provided upon request.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Full payment must be received prior to the start of the program. CalGovHR does not provide refunds for training/event cancellations, but registrations are transferable to another attendee for the same program provided the substitute attendee has the same membership status. All requests for transfer of registration fees must be made in writing at least three business days prior to the start of the program. If you cancel your registration without providing a substitute by the deadline as described above, you will forfeit your registration fees. No-shows are non-refundable. CalGovHR’s training program are exclusively for human resources and management personnel, and CalGovHR reserves the right to refuse registration.
